There are some on here that obsess and I agree. But the vast majority of the posts in the various threads seem to be about the amount of constant forcing of her into every aspect of life in Iowa. Keith Murphy for instance tweeting about her 7 times a day (so I’ve read on here, don’t use Twitter). His inability to have a conversation about the holocaust without mentioning her seems to be the pinnacle of examples of how out of hand the hype and coverage has become. Talk about creepy AF.

Let her season and accomplishments speak for themselves, cover the occasional news worthy angle, but for the love of God don’t mention CC with the holocaust. Butter cow? Ok, who cares. Don’t think she deserves to be on that stage with Trice (Kinnick would have made more sense), but don’t care.

But the posters here seem to be tired of the forced narrative through every medium by every local media. Extremely talented lady, let it stay at that.

I also think a lot of the consternation on here came because Ashley Joens got minimal coverage in comparison from the same media members and outfits you alluded to.

Not saying AJ deserved equal coverage, as she’s not the transcendent player CC is. But she anchored some solid ISU teams and won several Big 12 and national accolades. So I get the frustration.

that was McCaffery who fell down. There are a couple of GIFs for it around somewhere showing Brockington drilling a shot after making him fall and a corresponding shoulder shrug.
