Tap Rooms Iowa

Decided to do the mug club. Not too bad of deal.

Really nice mug that's probably worth $30+
$10 GC.
12 or so free 20oz pours
Any non BA beer you buy will be served in this mug.

Hopefully on Thursday nights the kids stay home or they do something about the noise from the bowling.

Valley Junction is becoming more of a "cool" spot so there is potential there
It's just not really "part" of Valley Junction though.

Edit: I guess I kind of take it back. I haven't been there since The Hall/Foundry opened. I thought it was further down. I still think it would be hard to open a new brewery there. I could see an established brewery moving there but the space isn't huge.

you're right its not exactly on the main drag but yeah being close to the Hall / foundry probably helps

also helps its close to the bike path

Fox just never made any exceptional beers. There were some OK ones, but nothing that would inspire me to go out of my way to go there. Early on, I know the owner refused to make an IPA because he didn't like that style. This is when IPAs were really starting to be the big thing on the beer scene. I thought it was a terrible business approach to not make something simply because you didn't like it, and it told me a lot about the attitude of the owner/brewer. I'm surprised they lasted this long.

Not a taproom but global brew is closing out in WDM/Waukee. Can't believe they couldn't make it work, they always had a nice tap list.
