Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

Gotta be real careful here. Per my ex-source, there was some VERY shady reporting/accounting going on with Scott so that he could get his commissions. Definitely in the WOW department. I won't say anything else, but an accounting review would reveal it.
I don’t doubt that, I think it shows problems with Scott though and not necessarily a prediction of the TV deals and such.

We must not lose sight of 'how' the media transactions are made. And, given the amounts, 'timing' is an essential component. I'm not talking about the contracts, but rather when and how payments are made.

Tampering?

Do we really think just one school will leave (Colorado) the Pac12 for the Big12? It will be multiple schools, right? Feel like they would want a partner to join with.

Welcome back Colorado if that indeed proves to be the case, but I hope we all boo the ever living fck out of them when they step into Jack Trice. They contributed to a decade of misery for those of us they left behind and that should follow them around for awhile.

I thought the last decade was a great era of Cyclone sports. I missed the old Big 8 rivals, wouldn't use the word misery.

And when we look at what the next decade will bring regarding the business of college sports, adding CU will make the Big12 better.

The goal is to keep on the Big10 & SEC's heels and close the $ gap come 2031.

Has it been fun watching the league get picked apart and living on the razor's edge every two or three years as new rumors popped up? And being the object of mockery and derision from national sports media and other leagues?

We had success and that's great. I'm not minimizing that. But what we didn't have was stability, thanks in part to Colorado. To hell with 'em.

Colorado was the only school that left the Big 12 for the P12, the others stayed at least for a short while and then jumped to the SEC and B10.
It will only take one school to cross over and the whole conference will be up for bids. Just like when it looked like the B12 was falling apart, no school wants to risk being left out and end up in the MWC or the AAC.
If Colorado said they are willing to jump, I think the B12 would take them in an instant, hoping that would cause the P12 to collapse and then add the schools as the P12 dies a slow death.
