Seeking help for a new project...

I would love to know details about some of the Hoiberg years. For example, did Royce require a babysitter to make sure he didn't get into trouble? The night that Bryce Dejean-Jones had before the Iowa game leading to the suspension also intrigues me.

I've told this before. Royce was hanging out outside of sororities a lot of mornings in his car. No clue for sure if he was creeping or actually had someone expecting him but several friends in sororities attested it to him being creepy.

Chris Babb on the other hand rode the bus I took regularly after coming out of DZ with a coed, clearly supposed to be there vs lurking.

Niang was pretty good friends with a girl I went to HS with so ended up at the bars with him and others a few times. Those were always cheap nights on the wallet.

Back to the 2014 VEISHEA fiasco. I was in Paddy's that night (Tuesday I think) when it unfolded. Cops told bars to not let people leave, turn the lights on and stop serving. Ended up leaving out the back door after a bit and like clockwork 2 cops are back there and ask us what we're doing. Leaving, sir.

2011 Okie St game. I took this grainy ass photo.
OSU in control of the game, ESPN brings out the National Championship trophy (YES THE CRYSTAL FOOTBALL TROPHY), their cheerleaders and mascot gather around it.
It was a mix of taunting our fans/revving up theirs.
The mascot was holding a "Weeden 4 Heisman" sign.

Looked at my wife and said "they just ****** themselves. Karma will get them tonight."

2002 vs Nebraska. We stormed the field. I was the first one on. Ended up at the bottom of a dog pile at mid field. Broke my glasses, worth it even though I was blind the rest of the night. Got a call from my friend in California that he saw me on TV running on the field. That’s me in the yellow shirt. Still remember it vividly.

  • The dumpster in the iconic photo from the 2004 VIESHEA Riots was from by apartment building. I was living on Hyland and Lincoln Way. It's been torn down and replaced, but it was a giant old house chopped up into apartments. Anyway, we were watching the goings on at Welch & Lincoln Way from our front yard. Two guys walked up Lincoln Way and went over to the dumpster and started to try to light it on fire. I yelled at them to at least move it away from the building if they were going to burn it. So they pushed it out into middle of Lincoln Way, got it going and rolled it down the hill. iowa-state-riot1.jpg
  • I knew a Missouri alum who was at the party Eustachy showed up to. For those that might not know/remember: the Register got ahold of some pictures of Eustachy at a college party after a road game at Mizzou, which ended up getting him canned. Evidently, it wasn't a big party at all. Eustachy showed up, had a beer or two, took a couple photos and took off after about 20 minutes. It was unclear why he was there, or who he came with.

They emptied all the bars in the riots during the early 2000s that just added to the already drunkenness of welch!

If you were in college when Taggart was in town like I was. You should know the Taggart story that involves chicken wings and coeds. Let your imagination run wild.

Eustachy liked to be driven to games and stop at the casino in Osceola on the way back. Had lots of issues but a great coach

VEISHEA riot Spring 1992 - when Orr and Walden were sent out to calm the mob in the streets as a last-step resort before the tear gas cannisters flew (I may know someone clogging the intersection of Welch & Lincoln Way...)
I was about 10 foot from Walden. Everyone told him he sucked and wouldn’t listen to him. Guy on my floor was dumb enough to try to grab a canister and throw it back. Spinning and burning hot, he got arrested.
