Nice gesture. Feels a bit like a participation trophy.
Any sports team visiting the White House is sort of dumb.
Remember - like taunting, it's only a participation trophy if the other team does it.
You can't turn that down but personally I don't like the precedent.
Who cares? If the President wants to invite the entire Final Four to the White House whatever. It’s up to them and the teams can decide if they want to go. This is one of the dumber traditions we have in sports imo.
I mean the numbers around the game speak volumes so acknowledging the movement these two teams had in advancing the women’s game is note worthy.
