I’ve been talking about this too much, but Clark did the move once, briefly, and not to any specific Louisville player. Reese followed Clark around on the court trying to get a reaction by repeatedly doing the “you can’t see me” swish and then pointed at her ring finger - all a direct attempt to taunt Clark specifically. Clark, give her credit, she claimed she never saw it and she was focusing on the postgame handshake line.
I knew when I saw Clark doing that wave against Louisville that it would come back to bite her eventually, nobody stays on top forever. Guess I figured it might take longer than it did, but it was always going to happen. I think it seems that of all people she can take what she dishes out, though.

True trash talkers love going back and forth with one another. Jordan, Bird, and Magic loved doing it to one another.

I've only watched 6 or 7 Iowa women's games this year and I've seen Clark do it every game. Friday she was waving at the SC player because she didn't have to go out and guard her. She is a heck of a player but she is also Conner McCaffrey with ovaries.
Does CC need etiquette lessons too.... or just black girls? Just curious.

The Hawks run might have gotten me hooked on women's basketball. The lack of size & elite athleticism must make passing lanes and set plays more available and it's more enjoyable to me than the men's game can be at times. Mix in a growing number of competent shooters and I was generally impressed.
I imagine I'll follow the both the Cyclones & Hawk's women's teams infinitely more closely next year than I ever have before.
