forever big 8 champs, last big 12 win in Ferrell.
that and TJ used the bench and everyone stayed fresh. It was just what we needed.
Oklahoma is up 38-21 at the half on TCU. If OU wins, ISU is a lock for the 5 seed in the Big 12 tournament. If TCU comes back and wins, ISU is a lock for the 6 seed. A very good chance we will have a rematch with Baylor in the quarterfinals.
might have been odd to play Hawley and Eli, but they didn't lay an egg out there. all did us proud today. no selfishness
Baylor played abnormal but ISU also played great hence why ISU crushed Baylor. A great win nonetheless.
this is the big 12, we don't pick our opponent, but we choose how to play. we can beat anyone.
They did, but I don't want any part of them in KC on Thursday. They will be fired up for revenge. Looks like that matchup is likely with OU up big over TCU at half.

Crazy that that we shut down the Ferrell Center with a win in their last game there. That place had been a house of horrors for ISU bball. Great way to see it go out.
Baylor played bad, that's the only reason we lost.

One of my favorite parts of the game today:
On our last possession TJ had our guys purposely dribble out the shot clock for an automatic turnover. Then Baylor inbounds the ball with 5 seconds to go and Flager flings up a meaningless 3 pointer at the buzzer to get his 20 points for the game.

Did Baylor also play abnormal when we beat them by the same margin in Ames?
Beat Baylor 77-62 at Hilton and 73-58 in Waco. This is just a bad matchup for Baylor. They shoot great but aren't any more athletic than us, we're bigger and more physical, with a better front court. It's a different Baylor team than we saw 3-5 years ago.

Defense was fabulous. Offense really passed well.
Yes - not a great Baylor performance. But we had a lot to do with that.

Tre had some great buckets. Fatigue set in with him late in the game. Curious to know if he had a career high in minutes this game.
The player that really surprised and impressed me was Watson! If he continues to refine his game, we may have a true gem there.
