I have a few for this thread and need to post this too as this moves me even though I was very little when this came out. This is on my play list and one of the songs I sing along by myself in the cab in the fields. I wish I would have dated a girl named Annie as I would have sang this to her HAHA. Then again, I wouldn't have wanted to show up the late John and be a big star or something. HAHA.

This whole album is pretty dark, but this one hits,
Saw Dawes live for the first time at that festival Mumford put on in Waverly. I was not really sure who Dawes was at that time (circa 2015). I vividly remember, despite the altered state I was in, When they started playing this song I believe toward the end of their set, I was like ‘holy balls, what is this??’
My ISU sweetheart and fiance died very young of cancer in 1992 and I first heard the unplugged version of this song on the way home from the hospital...
