As long as we don’t stub our toe at home against WVu and ou I don’t see us dropping anywhere below a 5 if we lose all other games.

Idk… you’re talking about road games against the #5, 7, and 12 overall seeds. I don’t think they would hold that against them much. Just need to win home games and first round game in the conference tourney and I think they are a 3.

I think CBS started doing the in-season reveal in 2017. I'm willing to bet this is the first time top 16 didn't include ANY of Duke, UNC, Kentucky and Villanova.

Agree. If ISU goes 2-3 it's likely 4th or 5th seed for B12 and that game isn't going to change anything for either team at that point.

We won't drop below a 4 if we lose to 3 top 3 seeds on the road

Just need all those four seeds and other three seeds to lose as often as possible. Helps our chances staying in 3 range

Could look at it another way -- panel might have thought Iowa State as a 3 seed is no surprise, whereas IU may not have been considered a lock for top 16 (even with its recent surge).
