This is a pretty limited offensive team. We basically have 2 guys who can dribble in traffic- Lipsey and Holmes. So when opposing teams elevate their on ball pressure and over play passing lanes, our offense can go stagnant if we settle for contested jump shots.
Grill needed to make that shot, he made that tougher than it needed to be. He's taller and a better jumper than Trousant. Come to a jump stop and make him foul you vs. making an off balance layup and counting on getting fouled.
But in the end, this game (and our other recent losses) comes down to teams exploiting our trapping/over-help defense and committing WAY TOO MANY fouls. Out foul problems are mainly self-inflicted. We need to go back to the fundamentals on D.
