Iowa State jumps a spot in the rankings!
The difference between top 10-15 and trophy contention rests on the shoulders of 2 freshman. A lot to ask from them but i still believe they can be at there peak come MarchAgreed, but what is painful to see is that our tournament point potential has fallen to where our expectation is around 8th. And it is a stiff jump to get to #6, let alone in the trophy range. At the beginning of the season I would have been relatively happy with 8th, but I have seen the final approach to the mountaintop, and I am greedy for more. Hopefully we can get healthy and right and back to what this team is capable of.
Losing our 125 for the year hurt our point potential too. So is Cabanban hurt too? I really don't see any difference between him and Terekina. Cabanban is definitely out. Coach said his injury is the worst compared to the other injuries they’ve been struggling with.So is Cabanban hurt too? I really don't see any difference between him and Terekina. Terekina has some huge wins during the regular season but has faded big time come March
I think there is a difference in terms of potential. If Terukina could put it all together he has potential to be an AA. I don’t think Cabanban had that potential, but is likely a more consistent performer. Doesn’t have the ups and downs. Not as big of highs and not as big of lows.So is Cabanban hurt too? Is this an update from his expectation of a mid February return ?Cabanban is definitely out. Coach said his injury is the worst compared to the other injuries they’ve been struggling with.
A good weight management Redding is a top 12 caliber wrestler. A poor weight management Redding is probably a fringe qualifier. Hopefully we get the focused Redding the rest of the year, because that raises the ceiling of the team significantly.I also think Redding is to low as an HM

I missed any news on Attasauov as well, whats the latest on him? Dresser said Ramazan got injured in their second wrestle off last week, but should be back soon. Once he's healthy, they'll wrestle their tie breaker match. However, if Redding goes 2-0 this weekend, and beats Biscoglia (assuming Ramazan isn't back by then), it'd be tough to take the spot away from Zach.I missed any news on Attasauov as well, whats the latest on him?
