What's your preferred live scoreboard / score tracking app/site?

I've been trying to quit ESPN for years (other than keeping my sub to ESPN+ for watching the Cyclones), but the only thing I use their app/site for is their 'Scores' page. Their articles are awful, their navigation is awful, their ad interruptions are awful, and just everything about their app/site I find awful....except for their live 'Scores' page. It's a cut above the rest in terms of live score tracking across multiple games, easy filtering options, play-by-playa and comprehensive in-game stat updates, etc...

I've tried Google's scoreboard, but it's really only good for tracking 1 game at a time, and real-time stats and play-by-play isn't great. I've also tried CBS Sports, Fox Sports, even The Athletic. Those obvious sports platforms are a bit lacking too in scoreboard features.

So whadya got? What do you use for daily in-game score/play/stat tracking?

It probably helps to add that I don't do sports betting, but idk, it sounds like those apps might actually need to have really good UI for tracking multiple game updates?

I still use the ESPN website on my phone for scores, but mainly because I'm used to it and too lazy to look for other options. I like their drop-down option to cycle through top 25 and various conferences for scores.

Bonus: Since the rest of their content is generally garbage, I'm not tempted to linger there too long and get on with whatever I'm doing.

This is the correct answer.

The best part of it (at least on Android) is the widget. The widget lets you see scores and upcoming games across a variety of leagues right from your homescreen. I use it all of the time.

espn is nice because if i want to tune into a game quick thats on one of their networks i can just hit "watch"

espn trumps all in the "scores" aspect like you said and thats all i use the app for.

I think that’s why it’s all I can pull up at JTS
I can pull it up but it usually won't refresh. Trying to see if Kansas won on Tue night the guy in front of me had the final on what looked like ESPN website while theScore was still showing 3+ minutes left.

Is this similar to the call in line that you navigate to the gane you want to hear the score of by voice command?

In 2011 when everyone else was on their smartphones I was shouting.. IOWA STATE...BASKETBALL at my phone like a crazy person

Think thar service finally got shut down. Callme?

Yahoo Sports app isn’t too bad. I don’t use it a lot, but it has scores and play by play and posts recaps a little bit after the games are over. Simple and does what I want it to.
I have never tried theScore... but I can vouch for yahoo sports. Yahoo Sports is much better than ESPN. Very easy to use.
