*** Official Texas Tech vs #14 IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

Another quality win, this team is really learning to grind on teams, just like the Fizer teams would. They play their style, they make every trip down the floor a challenge for the opponent, and tonight they were hitting from 3-point range.

Keep improving every game, and head down to KU and let's see what happens.
I've been struggling to remember a time I've seen a team gel like this and play like this. The Niang run when we blew the doors off Iowa at Carver was one of them. The Ejim/Kane year was another, and the Fizer and Tinsley years were ones that kept coming back to me. This is a special group right now.

The year they beat Iowa bad in Carver was after the Kane Ejim year and that team really never got things on track for more than 2-3 games.

Right now ISU is closer to Larry E ball for a group grinding opponents down.

It's still early but they've got some things going greatly.

Said it before, this team reminds me of the Fizer group, they were solid at every spot on the floor, they played defense up and down the floor, and they had enough offense to stay in the game and win it at the end. That team had some ugly wins, but they never let teams get away from them, always keeping it close, and then they would hit some shots, play defense and come out with the win.

Truthfully that team was the best team in the country, and without some home cooking in Michigan, it would have won a national championship.
