He doesn't like Iowa State, but he is pretty good when he can manage to tone down his bias and do his job.King McClure can stop calling our games any day now.

Will play him maybe two or three more times is all.before he’s done cortez might be one of those players we will hate
YesCortes looks like a girl. An ugly girl.
Winning comment of the thread so far (on page 29 currently).Tanner Groves looks like he home brew IPAs.
He has been really great at finishing at the rim! Very steady.Lipsey is as good at driving to the rim and finishing as any Cyclone I have seen in a long time.
Looks like we are in for hell of a fight at TCUMeanwhile I'm watching Baylor destroy TCU in Waco and am thinking 'how is this the same team...these guys look awesome'. Our defense really messes teams up. And I know that they have one of their starts back tonight which obviously helps.
You are right in calling out the difference of his super senior year Vs. prior differencesHe has been really great at finishing at the rim! Very steady.
The other Cyclone that comes to mind is Naz Long his super senior year. He was so great at finishing at the rim.
YesI don’t believe we saw Hason Ward at all tonight. That was kinda weird..
we wasted a lot of offensive possessions with him. For some reason whenever he got the ball, he had to try and score. He made a great effort, but just doesn't have the the skills or soft touch to pull it off and what is worse, he didn't have the self awareness to realize he was hurting the team by going to the hole every time he got the ball. All he needed to to was pass the ball back out. if he did so, I don't feel the game would have been so close at the endYes
I am a big Robert Jones fan - but I did not think he had a very good game. I would have given Ward some of his minutes. Ward has been productive in the minutes he gets.
Osun finally played like I hoped he would.
5-15 though..Holmes missed a lot of easy shots last night.Holmes had some good finishes in the paint as well. There were times against OU when he was the only guy who could get a decent shot off.
Did you know that Nerlens Noel played with The Minivan, Bang Bang Niang? What if Milan exceeds expectations and is better than Omaha? Nice problem to have… lol
Jamie Dixon has them rolling!
Shows the "fans" they have. If Des Moines got a pro team, I would only go if given tickets and NEVER on a day where ISU was playing. Now if it was the choice between ISU badminton and pro basketball, that WOULD be a harder decision.Once Oklahoma City got an NBA team, it has just killed attendance at both OSU and OU. Why pay for the minor leagues when you can see the stars of the NBA when they come through your town?
I almost feel like maybe the coaching staff has asked Robert to try to draw fouls? He works to get contact on practically every move he makes. AND/OR they instruct him if he is 1 on 1 at least get the ball on the board and we'll crash. OR he really doesn't understand the inside out concept he could provide when the D sinks on him.we wasted a lot of offensive possessions with him. You're not a complete anomaly. I watch almost NO pro sports. Occasional BB game when a couple of Cyclones are in the mix. And I rarely watch non-ISU NCAA football games. OTOH, I'll frequently watch NCAA D1 MBB even if neither team is a member of the B12, and you can't tear me away from the TV during March Madness.Shows the "fans" they have. With this attitude, I have been told I'm not a pure sports fan. If it does not relate to ISU, I really don't care. I am probably an anomaly.
AND, I don't buy the "Oklahoma and Okie St. have good fans, but they were torn away by the pros" stuff. They are either good fans or not. In this case, they just don't have good fans.
CW made a great point in his postgame about Holmes being the guy we went to when we couldn't get anything going. He had a couple huge buckets after that 20-0 run to kind of settle things down.I can forgive Holmes missing shots. He’s really is doing a lot for the team. He’s one of the only guys that can get his own shot, has to handle pressure and distribute when Lipsey sits. He wasn’t supposed to play PG at all this year. He had another 4 assists last night.
