*** Official #25 IOWA STATE vs Oklahoma Game(Day) Thread ***

I can’t decide if I like the decision not to foul. Obviously like the result but I think I would foul up three on the road.
It almost looked like Osun tried to foul and they didn't call it, so he got back into position and forced a really tough last shot.

Think McClure made a great point (yes, hard to believe) - Ossun played in defense where he would drop/get into the paint @ St Bon, which allowed him to get more boards & opportunities to block shots. Now he's trapping & away from the basket. While his numbers are down (also a product of the increase in level of competition), he is learning & improving as the season progresses. All hopefully are, but his growth is pivotal to our success. He had several key rebounds, couple huge blocks, & double digit points with the throws to seal it. Great team win but also big game for OO.
Very encouraged that his best two games have probably been our first two conference games.

Yup. Lipsey was almost on the floor when Cortes drove past him. Shoon rotated down and opened up the top of the key for an open 3. Huge missed call.

Hats off to our guys for overcoming.

Yep..this. I'll back off of my "crooked" comment I made earlier, as perhaps it is plain incompetence, but there were some obvious missed calls that could have easily cost us the game.

Yeah I mean we got the biggest gift of the night on Gabe’s horrific shot that went behind the backboard yet they didn’t call it and we then scored.
And Oklahoma tied the game with an expired shot clock with 1:02 left in the game.

Big win. Tough D and big rebounds . Free throws, oh baby.
Go Cyclones.
OUt was 9/9 from the foul line. We were 12/16!

Key makes down the stretch. OU's perfect from the stripe almost wins it for them.

What a game.

Lots of great performances in this one.

Grill has moved past thinking and is just playing and he’s playing the best ball of his life.

Think we can all agree Lipsey is performing at the top-50 level he was at pre-high school injury.

Osun is mentally growing up and made quite a few big plays.

King was thought to be an offensive boost, but his defense has been the catalyst to his minutes.

Holmes found himself with power ball in the paint amidst a prolonged (mental?) struggle and flipped his script.

This under-talented team is easy to root for. Along the lines of the Tim Floyd era Willoughby/Cato years.

There is a tendency on this board to forget that bad calls go both ways and players decide games and not refs.

I am sure if OU had the same block as Osun, many would be screaming bloody murder that it was goal tending.
