49ers - Brock Purdy - Still and Always #1

You couldn't tell they were joking? "I call him Big Cyclone Brock." "He wears that gear all the time."

Believe me, I am an avid hater of the Hawks and a lot of their former players. Kittle included until recently. But damn if they aren't a solid duo. If throwing to Kittle helps boost Brock's play/stats/confidence, then throw to him whenever he can.
Too bad we didn't find a Kittle for Dekkers this year. All he wants to do is catch touchdowns.

I’m a bit of an NBA nut and especially for our guys…
- Monte’s shot didn’t scream that he needed to change it but he did and his 3pt shooting definitely improved
- Georges was always accurate but his shot is now LIGHT SPEED fast, he’s around 15th in NBA in 3pt % typically but I bet he is also top ten in speed to get the shot off, it’s like he barely touches it
- Halliburton had the shot that seemed to need the most work…but he didn’t change it…and he’s an elite shooter, #3 in NBA mid range shooter (steph and Harden), last year #11 in 3pt% but down a little this year because of volume, still elite

Who knows when guys change this stuff or not.

There’s an AMAZING Iowa Everywhere podcast everybody should listen to of Sage and Brock’s throwing coach who has also coached Dekkers.

Good call on listening to this pod.

The biggest thing I learned is that Dan McCarney, Jay Norvel, and Sage's pro coaches didn't know how to coach qbs and their mechanics. Also, Sabin and Lincoln Riley must not know anything about throwing motions even though they had Heisman winners.

Also, Mahomes and Rodgers do things differently.

I am being an effing smart-ass for the few on this board that think coaching quarterbacks is a black and white science and everything that is known about quarterback mechanics can be taught to any QB.

I promise that is my last smart-ass post on this topic.

Disagree that Brock comes across as cocky, but otherwise this is great.
Yeah, these guys don't know the details. They just know what their research assistants tell them and what they learn from the game broadcast. Take it with a grain of salt I guess.

In other news, it's insane how much press Purdy and ISU are getting. I've never seen anything like it in my life...just wow.
