Rookie of the Year is awarded after the regular season before the playoffs begin.
In that case it's highly unlikely, right? If not for playoffs it's an award mostly about stat accrual and Brock won't have them...

Yes, highly unlikely. However Rich Eisen was entertaining the possibility. He was saying that Brock was now 25-1 in Vegas.
If he wins out and they look tough, I could see it. Especially if he has good numbers for a 16 game projection.
If he wins out and has really good games he will build a good, albiet short, resume. They have some quality matchups remaining including some good QBs for him to duel.
Not rookie of the year, but he faced one Mr. Irrelevant last week in Ryan Succop.
But to be fair, kickers are so undervalued in the NFL that to be drafted with any pick is quite a coup.
There's nothing that says he can't win it. If he wins out and continues to look great I don't see why not. The media will be on his side, that's for sure. It would be like a month straight of Purdy mania. It's a lot to ask, but who knows. Could happen!

I want to believe, but Herbert was the last QB ROY and he had 36 TDs (31/5). I think Brock will have to put up bonkers numbers for four straight games and absolutely win them all to get a sniff of the ROY. And all the while we'll hear about him being in Shanahan "system" and that Kittle & CMC are the real offensive producers. It's really too bad they don't include the post-season because I think even with a loss (or even two) if Brock got to the Super Bowl with good (and not even great) numbers it'd be hard not to give ROY to him.

Why not merge Breece's start to the year and Purdy's end of the year for a combo Breece-Purdy Rookie of the Year vote.
