NCAA Cross Country Championships

Good luck to the four Cyclone runners competing at the NCAA championships today in Stillwater, OK. Dana Feyen and Madelynn Hill in the women’s race at 9:20 am, and Gable Sieperda and Titus Winders in the men’s race at 10:10 am. Live on ESPNU. Top 40 in each race are awarded All-America honors. I think the weather is supposed to be cold and windy which could be an advantage for our runners.

I haven't been keeping up with CC this year. Haven't we qualified entire teams recently, or at least several more than a couple runners? Down year?

Men qualified every year since 2016. Finished 2nd overall last season. I think they were 4th and 7th in other seasons. Definitely a down year. They’re probably good enough now to be in the race but did poorly in the 1 big race they did this year (nuttycbe) so didn’t earn an at large bid.

Solid running by the four Cyclone runners. All finished in the top half among all competitors. Looking at the splits in the men’s race, it seems that Sieperda and Winders both consistently moved up in position the entire second half of the race.
