#10 Fio beat #6 Clark 4-0. Clark really wasn't in the match as Fio claimed 2 minutes riding time and a take down.

UR Shelton takes down #7 Fanthorpe and Fanthorpe tweaks his knee on the way down. Gets an escape and can not continue. Injury Default.

#2 Gallick up 2-1 in 2nd period. Building riding time (3:17).

Gallick out quick in third - 3 takedowns and a stall warning against Vernon. Nice takedown at buzzer for the 10-3 win.

#18 Mueller vs. #13 Terry. Terry with the early lead 2-0 in 1st.

Terry out quick in 2nd to take 3-0 lead, no scoring from the feet.

Mueller chooses neutral. Terry has RT advantage. Terry gets late takedown and wins 6-0 with riding time.

3-12 bad guys...

#7 Sanderson vs. #16 Vernon under way. Sanderson pushing the action early as Vernon gets hit with stall warning. Cyclone take down at end of 1st.

Cyler takes down and gets out quick followed by another take down. Cyler cuts Vernon for another takedown. Cyler cuts him again and takes down Vernon to his back for a 5 point move. 12-2

Cyler racks up 3 more takedowns and a stalling point against Vernon in third before he gets the fall.

Very impressive win for Sanderson who has been struggling lately

When is ISU going to start winning these big matches? It seems as though they have not been able to win the big ones. Are people starting to get frustrated?

#6 Reader vs. UR Smith. Reader with takedown and 3 near fall for the early 5-0 lead. Reader with a quick tilt for the 7-0 lead.

Reader takes down and gets out easy. Smith hit for stalling, Reader take down 10-0. Reader with 2:10 RT at end of 2nd

Reader with 2 take downs and stalling point. 16-2 Major Decision.

Nice pin by Sanderson.

Reader off to a good start. Things are looking better for ISU.

It will be a close match, bonus points might decide it. Burk needs a win at 174, that would be a big lift.

Iowa State has won about 4 matches this year in which they weren't favored in and way too many loses when they were favored...

The injury to Fanthorpe was probably a 9 point swing in the team standings. If Fanthorpe doesn't hurt his knee and continues he wins that match. I-State is going to win the meet but it will appear to be a lot closer match then it really was.

#8 Burk vs. #9 James. Burk with first 2 shots. James counters Burk's shot on the edge for the take down. 1:05 RT for James as the period expires.

James escapes and Burk continues to push the action from the feet.

Burk takes down in 3rd period. James rides for entire 3rd period to take 4-0 dec.

Thanks for the updates isu2007! Keep them coming. Easier and more enlightening than cyclones.com. I'll try to remember to add rep next time I'm at a PC. :wink: Someone also remind me to add 06Panther to my ignore list as well.

This one will be yet another case of the lower ranked wrestler beating our guy.

Get tired of this same story. If two guys are ranked close, but we have the higher ranking, it seems we never have the fire to pull those matches out.

Ward takes down to begin 2nd. Ward with the reversal and Flynn with an escape. Back to the feet.

Flynn down and out 2-2. Going to their feet. Ward with take down and rides out for the RT point. 5-2 Ward
