Never been so frustrated with a so called service in my life. Every commercial the thing goes to endless commercials. Quit and restart and it sometimes works…sometimes restarts the game and sometimes goes to endless commercials “event about to start” message. And we are saddled with this junk under the new contract. I wonder how a company as big as Disney/ESPN can produce such a horrible service.

I’m on high speed. Also suspect it may have to do with their app and casting it to a tv. It has stunk for two years using it that way

What are you running the app on, laptop and casting? I'm running off of Firestick from my media receiver and it's worked pretty good. I've had less success with the MLB app on the same Firestick so not sure if the Firestick or MLB app is to blame.

What are others running ESPN+ off of?

Love ESPN+. Years ago when the service started I had some issues, But in the last few years I have never had a single issue.

No issues on my end.

It has to do with casting it. If I leave it on the small screen it is ok. If I cast to the tv it goes whacky every commercial break. ESPN support knows it’s a prob and says they don’t have a fix for it

I didn't have any issue with commercials or the app not working, but the production was not very good. The sideline reporter I believe was the same one as the WV game last year and he seems like a weird guy. I believe he is actually a wrestling guy and not what I would call a qualified sideline reporter. The picture quality (colors and dark shots) were not good. Sometimes when the play went to the shadows it was like a game played in the dark. Some of the colors looked almost neon at times. The halftime show was a joke. The lock segment they played was for games that were already over. They might as well have just run commercials.

Roku

Here is ESPN's response…which is mystifying.

"Hello, thank you for contacting ESPN Fan support.

I apologize for any inconvenience. The ESPN app does not support casting from a mobile device to the TV. In order to stream ESPN on your TV you will need to have the ESPN app on your TV or on a device such as a Roku, Amazon Firestick or Apple TV that can plug into your TV. If you don't have one of those devices you can also plug a computer or laptop into your TV with an HDMI cord and stream from [ESPN.com](http://espn.com/). "

so…I assume everyone here that has no problem isn’t casting? I find it mystifying because the cast button is part of the app and does actually work until a commercial appears.
