I feel like both fan bases think they're going to lose the game so wanted to test that hypothesis with a poll broken down by which team you cheer for.

I think we'll lose. So there's one...
I am to the point of "prove me wrong" and i feel its kind of smart to pick Iowa since we haven't won since 2014. Anaconda by nicki manaj was #1 in the country at this time.
half our team was in 6th or 7th grade when we won last.
you know they will find their offense a bit this week AND you know they will control the field position game. I will set the over/under at starting inside our own 10 yard line at 4 times.
common theme with this game is I think we are better lately, but can't get out of our own way against Iowa.

Nothing in the Campbell era has shown me we can win this game. Prove me wrong.
Fair enough, but when we put 5 in a row on them, do you think their fan base resigned themselves to another loss each year? I doubt it and neither should we.
Several of the recent losses have been at our own hands. We’ll get out of our own way and win this one. Believe Cyclone fans- believe!

I think we’ll win this one. Campbell has done so many things that hadn’t been done before that it’s just odd he has beat Iowa when previous coaches did frequently. just inevitable we get one, they have home field but I really don’t see how they are improved.
If we’re honest one or two of Iowa’s teams during that stretch were better on the year. Not all 5 like they’d say, but one or two. Same way I don’t think all those Iowa teams were better.
It also sucks our 2020 team didn’t get to play them.

We will lose. I think we will struggle getting the ball across the 50 and our defense might have a few breakdowns as they are still inexperienced. I expect to also lose the turnover battle and penalties.
Iowa is favored by -2.5….. so I will bet heavy on Iowa to cover that line. Just based on our history and it being a kinnick.
I agree with all of this except moving the ball past the 50. Iowas secondary was not challenged at all Saturday… we have the talent to challenge them. I think we will move the ball at times, but probably not consistently.
I bet the majority of both fanbases still think there team will win, they just aren't going to be real vocal about it. Whether it's the poor performance of Iowa or ISUs recent history in this series there is plenty for both fan bases to feel bad about, but both of those things also make you feel better about the chances of beating the other team.
I don't have any confidence in us to win this game. We've found so many new and exciting ways to lose the last 6 of them. I think it would help to be more aggressive on offense instead of playing and losing the field position battle game to them yet again, and Dekkers does enable us to be more pass-happy, but their defense is probably good enough to handle it.

SEMU proved early that we were willing to let them have a long sustained drive of 4 yard gains that kept our defense on the field at the start of the game. This mimics Iowa's game plan. They are comfortable with only having 3 possessions in a half if it keeps our offense off the field.
CMC needs to jump out to an early lead and make Iowa play from behind. If we let Petras get comfortable in the pocket early, this will turn into a typical plodding game where Iowa does just enough to win.
I personally like us in this one. I think we see some defensive stops early and we end up opening things up a bit. Dekkers should have some extra motivation to win this one and this can be won through the air.

Campbell should have 3 wins against them (including the non existent 2020). But we always snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. If this game was in Jack Trice I would feel different.
