She's gross as are most of the teachers who do this.
My question is: why are schools continually hiring young teachers in their early/mid 20's to teach kids close to their own age? Isn't that just asking for this to happen?
My maturity level at 25 was pretty much what it was at 18, which is to say, immature. I went through public schools in the 70's/80's and I can't remember one female teacher who was in her 20's. Seems there's an obvious solution here.
I didn't actually read the whole article so I didn't see the age of the kids. I was speaking more of a situation where the guy might be 17/18.
You're right, I'm sure the teacher shortage/crap salary has a lot to do with schools hiring bad teachers with little experience who are young.
But, there's an easy fix to that problem: pay teachers a lot more, and fund the public school system adequately like we used to.
