1700AM ?

I missed it too. Though did enjoy the KXNO interview with Coach Chow.

Yeah didn't work for me either. So I had to listen to 1460 and their talk about wrestlling. I can only listen to wrestling when it is about ISU only

KXNO is the worst...especially those stiffs in place of Cotlar this morning.

who gives a rat's patooty about gymnastics.

Apparently most of the country as it's the most watched Olympic sport. Oh and all of Des Moines cared about it when they watched Shawn Johnson. And lots of folks on CF when we all complained about the Chinese girls being too young.

I would rather hear about gymnastics then Cornerll, Northwestern, and Grandview wrastlin'

Or about potential Ed Podalak replacements. When I flipped over from 1700 this morning, that's all those guys were talking about.

With ISU/Iowa just getting into conference play, UNI leading the Valley, and college basketball in full swing...the main conversation on KXNO is "Who will replace Ed Podalak?" Seriously?!? No wonder their ratings suck.

I hate these guys, Bob n Dave. They fill in for whomever is gone. I love how the one guy feels the need to tell McD or Rutter to watch some video on Garrett so to see him travel all the time. He said DG's play "drives him crazy".
Dont know why I listen, they could talk about 15-18 yr old boys and their HS sports for days on end and noone would know who they are talking about.

I find 1700 to be very nice b/c I don't have to constantly tell myself how stupid that caller was. It is nice to listen to ISU/Iowa analysis and interviews, but it seems the KXNO provide more callers opinion than factual solid info.

When a call comes in on KXNO, I always get a picture of a old, fat man with a can of Old Style and a pack of virginia slims in his shirt pocket.... possibly accompanied by suspenders.

I would try to listen to KXNO for a while but found myself flipping back to 1700 to see if it was working yet. After doing this for a while I found it better entertainment to just keep it on 1700 and listen to silence than listen to those yahoos on kxno.

Yeah, what was his whole point on that? He described the situation for about 5 straight minutes and at the end of it I still had no clue what he was talking about. You could pick out any basketball game played anywhere in the country and randomly say some guy "travels almost every time." He said when he's watching the game he'll see Garrett do this and he'll yell out "He travelled!" Only thing I can assume is that he's rooting against ISU...I don't ever remember yelling out loud about a guy on my team committing a violation.

I'm never up early enough to listen to the show. Who were this guys? Bob and Dave? Last names?

Are Bob and Dave the ones who always say that they never know when this might be their final show? They are brutal. I prefer it when KXNO just lets guys from local TV fill in. Atleast they have something productive to say. I'd settle for Chuck Reed. :(

No one knows there last names or what they do? Or do they just lurk in the shadows until the Cott-man needs a breather?
