I want them both lol my only point is we typically dont get guys like Omaha. So my hopes are low so avoid another nut shot.

They aren't building these giant facilities for no reason. Its huge business, people in Ames laughed when they built the All Iowa Attack gym and that other private gym in west ames. And now they are both packed every weekend.
This thread got dumb this morning. Hopefully we get some good news soon to get it back in track.

We typically don't get guys like Milan... He's the 4th highest rated recruit on 247 for the good guys behind Brackins, Wigginton and Hunter. Granted guys like Fizer and Tinsley were pre recruiting site's era. You're arguing for the sake of argument.
The nature of recruiting is that you are going to lose out on a lot more players than you get. Fans tend to remember the close calls with big time recruits that we missed on (Barnes, Vaughn, Diallo) and forget about the ones that we landed (Wigginton, THT, Thomas, Niang, Morris, Lipsey)
I'd put money on Momcilovic having a bigger impact at Iowa State than Biliew on account that he's likely to be here 2 or more years. Biliew might be good enough to be one-and-done, but probably isn't good enough to dominate as a freshman. Momcilovic is the perfect recruit that will be good enough to be a major contributor as a freshman, but probably not good enough to leave for a couple years.

The RecPlex in West Des Moines is owned and operated by the city of West Des Moines... Yes, they had some large sponsorships form HyVee and Mid American to get it going but not all of these places are private organizations and nor should they be. My generation of parent has absolutely youth sports and savvy business folks sniffed that out and they are more than willing to exploit it. The cost involved is the #1 reason the Des Moines public schools can't put together competitive teams. Roosevelt has had some but they still get buried by the well to do's.
Say you had to choose between milan or omaha, who are you picking?

But that skirts the weak point that you are trying to make that if we don't get the absolute best recruit, then we fail.
Take your losses and run, you tried to indict our ability to get good talent while we are putting together probably the best recruiting class ever at ISU MBB. Bold move, great initiative, crappy judgement.

Clearly you like the “glass half full” view point. Doing so allows you avoid some with of the disappointment that Cyclone fans have had to endure over the years. In other words, if you don’t get your hopes up, you won’t be disappointed. However, I prefer optimism over pessimism. Further, I think there is a better than 50/50 chance that Omaha ultimately commits to ISU. Nonetheless, if it doesn’t go ISU’s way, I am 110 confident in the current coaching staff‘s ability to continue to get high level recruits, which is extremely comforting.
