JJ Kohl Elite 11 Superlatives

Pretty cool to see Kohl, Johnson (KSU) and Novosad (BU) all next to each other in the top 14 of the composite rankings. The national media's attempts to dump dirt on top of the Big 12 continue to fail.
Also interesting to see Dowling's Jaxon Smolik just outside top 11. Speaks well to level of talent in IA HS football

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's not deserving. Just that 247 didn't rank him as high as everyone else. They were using their rankings going into the camp as well as the performance at camp to rank them according to an article I saw. Kinda stupid, but I think it also indicates they aren't weighting one competition all that much. He might move up a little, but I wouldn't expect him to make a huge jump in 247. Doesn't change the fact that by most accounts he was arguably the best looking prospect at the camp.

247 don’t want to look bad and rank the Iowa State quarterback way above the blue bloods quarterbacks

It's fair if they weighted with junior film. Deck was stacked against JJ.
Elite 11 weighted it with junior film.

247 didn’t, and even calls out the Elite 11 folks on that.

From the section on Jackson Arnold:

“Arnold took home MVP honors by the Elite 11 Staff and we won’t argue with that. We said it a few times before but our rankings are different from Elite 11 in that ours are based solely on this week’s performance, Elite 11 board is full body of work including junior tape and the earlier Regional workouts.”

I never understand how people read things into posts.

It didn’t bother me. I asked a question because I was curious.
He could just be dumbing the fact JJ was ranked #7 and not you. I wouldn't take it so personally.

Buckeye fans think they’re going to flip him. Lol.
I saw a tweet referring to that. Is that even remotely true? I mean, they can probably throw loads of NIL$ at him, but the way he's recruiting other players to come here and parents are ISU'ers, I find it hard to believe he'd let them even entertain the thought.
