The WNBA skills challenge yesterday matched up eight teams consisting of one WNBA player and one AAU player at the Nike Nationals (which is in Chicago at the same time as the WNBA all star game). 2023 ISU verbal Arianna Jackson was one of the fortunate AAU players to participate (as was her All Iowa Attack teammate Ava Zediker, a 2025 player ISU has shown interest in).

Jackson was teamed up with Azura Stevens. Jackson did her part perfectly in the first round and spotted Stevens a lead, but the eventual champion Ionescu team came back to win.

If you have a cable/streaming provider with espn, you can watch here. Jackson is at around 7:15.

Zediker was paired with Vandersloot. Like Jackson, Zediker also nailed her part and got her partner a lead but lost in the first round. She is at 10:30 in the above video.

Ava a descendant of former Ames High coach Arnie Zedicker?
If that's the same Arnie Zediker that coached Fort Dodge basketball, then yes, she is his granddaughter.

Freshman Marin Heller added 11 off the bench, while Emma Gipple and Ava Zediker — the team’s leading scorer as a freshman and the granddaughter of ex-Dodger boys coach Arnie Zediker — contributed nine each.
