Any Air Jordan shoe geeks out there?

I have always wanted a pair of Air Jordan 6. They were the first Air Jordans that I can remember kids wearing in school.

I had a pair of the 1993 Air Force Highs that I loved.

Always wanted to get a pair to say I owned a pair. Growing up my parents refused to buy them for me because they were afraid some thug was going to kick my ass and steal them right off my feet. I would have rather they didn't insult my intelligence like that and just told me they weren't willing to spend that kind of money on me.

I had a pair of 6's when I was in High school. Remember them being the first big shift in the look of them. I also remember they sucked for actual basketball, the tread pattern they had on the bottom with the little round dimples did not work on basketball courts well. Cool Idea but not great in practice, you had to constantly clean them to maintain any traction. I think that was a short lived idea.

Not a sneaker head at all, loved High tops back in that day I remember, but now I just want stuff that is comfortable, above all else, and still looks good.

I sell some of my rare W’s on SNKRS and the Nike app just to keep my wife off my back on what I do buy to keep. I've had a lot more luck hitting on women's shoes so have given a couple pairs to her and sold the others. I mostly wear some variety of 1s and then have a pair of 3s and 4s as well.

I wish Nike would bring back the Air Prestige 3s still probably my favorite pair of shoes I've worn.

I have a few pairs I'm willing to sell if anyone is interested.

Otherwise, anyone have experience what the best app/website is to try to sell?

**Edit: having some trouble posting the pic, says my file size is too large.

I was into Jordan's for a bit and had a small collection of 1's and 4's. I sold off most of it and only have a pair of 1's. As I move further into being a dad, I'm moving more toward New Balance. Now that New Balance is the "in" brand, I'm set at least until this hype runs out.

I'm not a shoe geek by any means. I have always had an affinity for old Air Jordans and just recently started trying to get some of the older ones.I think it's because the older I get the more nostalgic I become.

A guy at work recently introduced me to the damn Nike SNKRS app and I got a pair of 3s in white/cardinal last week and just got lucky this morning and snagged the '85 Georgetown 1s...really wanted those because when I was in high school that's what the basketball team wore when I was a freshman/sophomore/junior and those teams were really good so a lot of fun memories.

Wanting to get a pair of the 1s in the original red/white/black. I had a pair of white Air Force 1s when I was a freshman in high school that I colored to look just like those so it would be nice to get a "real" pair. Also want the original black 4s, had a pair of those in college and they're still my favorite shoe ever.

I really don't care about anything that came out after the 4s though.

Anyway, just wondering if there were any other Air Jordan nerds out there.
I've had better luck on GOAT and StockX over SNKRS. It may be a size thing, idk. I wear 16/17 and seem to have good luck on those apps. I buy mine to wear also, although minimally.

Yeah, what's the deal with New Balance being the new "in" shoe? I like shoes that look cool and those do not...to me, they'll always be the shoes that old people wore in '90s.

Quality vs price. New Balance has a "Made in the USA" line where 75% of the product (everything but the foam/rubber) is made and assembled in the US. These shoes tend to be made with higher quality leathers and suede. NB has also done a bunch of collabs in the last 3-5 years that have put them on the map as well. I would say their collabs with Salehe Bembury and JoeFreshGoods alone put them on hype beast's radars.

For me though, I stick to the 993 model and 990v5. All day comfortability. They're both great looking models and go with anything. Just as with Jordan's, there is value in some New Balance resale.

EDIT: I should state these are NOT the colorways I have. I do have Grey 993's, but most of my shoes are in more sought after colorways than the standard grey.
