Where do you believe that the team you root for will wind up in the standings at the end the 2009 season.

Cubs 97 wins and Central champs - wins one series and out of the World Series running

Cards are probably looking at another clunker. They've really struck out at the Winter Meetings and lost out on most of their targets. Still have no idea if Carpenter can throw a baseball effectively again.

I'll say 83 wins and a third place finish in the Central this year.

I just saw that they are considering Carpenter as closer this year??

I think my Mets will finally shake the choking behavior and win their division this year. They have really shored up their bullpen.

I don't really root for any team and follow them all... But for sake of discussion I will say the Nats finish third in the East with 84 wins.

Creepy indeed. I will say though, the race for the central crown this year is between the Twins and Indians IMO.

I agree it's going to come down to the Twins and the Indians. Hopefully the second-place team can snag the wildcard out of the AL East's jaws.

As the Mets are my other team, I can only hope so. That bullpen cost Santana & Co. a lot of wins last season.

I like the Indians in the Central this year if they can stay healthy. The Twins will always be in the running for that division as well. I like to cheer for the Indians (I worked for them) and the Twins (My brother covers them) so it could be a very fun year on that front.

For not drinking the Cyclone kool-aid or having "blinders" on...you sure seem to have the Nationals blinders on...I've got the Cubbies winning 94 and losing in the nlcs.

I don't know how high I would go with the Nationals but they have a decent team.

Ryan Zimmerman
Nick Johnson
Willingham
Dukes
Guzman

will be a nice pop for the batting line up

Starting rotation is not good.

nah, not really. The Nats have alot of talent but were killed by injuries last year. They had more DL time than any other team and more than doubled up most of them. IF (and thats a big if) Dukes, Millidge, Guzman, and Zimmerman can stay healthy and they spend the $30 mil they are still looking to spend wisely, they can get there...
