*** Official IOWA STATE vs #14 Texas Tech Game(Day) Thread ***

Does anybody think we look like a well-coached team? I mean putting shooting aside, do we look like we know what we’re doing? The things that have plagued us all season have not gone away.

Yeah. I also think we have half a team that can’t make a shot to save their lives. A lot of teams are well coached but if the team can’t shoot a ball, which is pretty important in a game where u need to make baskets, a coach can’t do crap about that. Our defense is great. We have open shooters a lot but if they don’t make it, what can a coach do?

On top of the bad shooting and passing, the rebounding and paint protection are non existent. Can you win 3 games in 3 days with only 8 players?
We need to get better at rebounding. We should use the tt technique, push in back, get rebound. Or jmp on back, get rebound. It doesn't matter if you get position if the officials don't reward you for boxing out.

And yet they just went 1-2 vs TCU, KSU and Okie St. They could make a run, but let’s not pretend like they are some juggernaut playing great lately, yet this looks like a HS team vs a 5th grade team.
TCU is a solid NCAA tourney team and I think Okie State is ranked 6th in ADJDE, those aren't bad losses for them.

We won 20 games with a team that barely has more talent than last year's 2-22 group. Looking at how Bolton and Harris are performing this year, you could argue that basically this year's roster is the same as last year's, except we have Brockington. With that in mind, the job TJ and the staff have done is incredible. Do not forget that. We look atrocious tonight but just enjoy how much we've overachieved this year. This team has hit their ceiling and given us some great moments, and reignited the Magic. The talent level on the roster will rise in future seasons and this is just the start of the Otz Era.

Absolutely weird why Tre Jackson and Tristan Enaruna aren’t seeing more of the court.. Are people not seriously questioning that!??

It’s been obvious at this point that it is disciplinary in nature…. no other explanation makes any sense.

It is what it is. They didn’t follow team rules in some way or another and are paying a price for it.
