*** Official Oklahoma State vs IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

I'm about 100% sure you cannot or should not make a post like this with any seriousness. This was one game. Horrible yes but just one game. How can you sum up the good games that we played this season?

We have played maybe above our heads more often than we should have this year. Tonight it caught up with us. We keep playing like this then I think you have a point.
We're one of the worst offensive teams in all of P6 basketball with a 4-star and a top 3 player in the conference on the roster, it's not just one game. I think it's a fair assessment to say we need to add someone on the staff who knows what to do on that end of the court.

Technically this was one game....unless they played a double-header that I didn't know about. But this is not a total outlier. They have set several negative records this year. And the win against TT was the worst win I've ever seen, so I'm tempted to lump that in too.

Worst win?

Sure. Red flags a plenty. No way to put a shine on this game, some of the others too.

Some posters just making blanket statements and giving up on this coaching staff, etc, well. I just don't get that. We did make the most win turn-around from one season to the next btw.

One game does not a season make. Thank goodness.

I can agree to that.

Put this way, yes I agree. Put the way Malone put it is not using your head.

Looks like a few are back now that weren't around as much the last two weeks.

The turnover at the end of the K-State game was a wow moment. His on the ball defense was a big reason IB stole the ball and made that jumper at the end of the WVU game. For the 7th or 8th guy off the bench he's had plenty of "wow" moments. Why is everyone surprised TJ played him tonight? Have you not watched the games in the last 2 weeks? Yes, he had a rough night tonight, but he did plenty off the bench to help the team on that 4 game win streak. Some of you just lose your damn minds over a loss.

He's been great the last few games and a very pleasant late season surprise. He just didn't have it tonight.

I've really tried to stay away from questioning rotations and minutes. I have no idea what goes on in practice or what the coaches see day to day, but in a game like tonight, where we set the game of basketball back 40 years on offense, it's just really tough not to question why two guys that have played major minutes (one of which salted away the game in Stillwater) can't get on the floor. It wasn't just Walker. Just about anyone could've been sat for a few minutes to see if we could catch a spark.

Crappy night and it's low hanging fruit. Flush it and move on.

TJ doesn’t know how to make in game adjustment. Just a reality we will have to live with I guess.

I agree that the rotations don't always make a ton of sense to me, but as you say I don't have near the information the coaching staff has. I'll judge on the season as a whole, and that is an amazing success. People can pick apart rotations and criticize offensive plays like they are experts (most are not) to fit whatever narrative and bias suits them. It is what it is.

First time I smiled all night.
Happy to provide a smile. Wished I could have provided a smile by punching the younger white official from tonight for everyone. But alas, I could not get close enough. So, this will have to do.
