Anyone else check this out?
It's a take off on a British show with the same concept.
Essentially, Will Arnett plays a homicide investigator, and each episode he is assigned a new partner, played by a celebrity. And there's a different case to solve. But the celebrity partner has not been given a script and are tasked with just going along for the ride and solving the murder.
6 Episodes in the season. I've watched the first three, and it's a pretty funny concept. The best parts are when the guest does something that makes Arnett break character, and watching him try to cover it.
Conan O'Brien's episode was exactly what you would expect and it was pretty funny. There's a scene where they are eating sloppy joes that had me dying. Surprisingly Marshawn Lynch was quite good as well. He really got into the character.
I'm not sure how long the gimmick will remain funny, but for now it's definitely worth checking out
