*** Official #20 IOWA STATE vs #23 Texas Game(Day) Thread ***

28% shooting...points off turnovers 24-2 Texas
Oh good, our shooting percentage is about matched up our conference win percentage.

There's still time to get back on track for the NCAAs, but there must be change to get there.

Multiple five second calls happened today when guys could have dribbled once and avoided it.

Yes, there is limited talent, but tj is not an offensive mind at all. He needs help on his staff for this. There are a lot of things going on that shoukd never happen at tge d1 level and the 5 second calls are just one of them.

If they win 3 more, they absolutely will.

People underestimate this team’s resume, especially with when 50% of your schedule is quad 1 games
The problem is Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, Kansas St and West Virginia are piling up losses just as quickly as we are. Those aren't going to be good wins by the end of the season.
Our non-conference resume isn't as strong as it looked earlier either. Iowa, Creighton, and Memphis are probably NIT teams and Xavier hasn't been playing very well either.

Someone was giving me crap a couple weeks back when I said Big12 coaching caught up to TJ once the film was out on us- not sure how much more proof ya need.
No doubt TJ is up against a murderers row of coaches. It may take a couple more years to get enough pieces to show if his staff can scheme against them and get to top half of the conference.

Why? A loss is a loss. Iowa St handled Texas in Hilton. Who the **** complains about a split against Texas.

I'm thinking it's people that need to watch more basketball. I'm not a junkie but the difference in abilities on many teams and ISU's is crazy.

The offense is really bad though.

Disappointed with how they played in the second half and the loss today, but let's keep the HS comments down a tad. Unless you were one of the geniuses who knew TJ would have 16 wins with big Quad 1 victories at this point in the season.

With nobody guarding within 30 feet of them? That's bad but it's not even close to Boltons stupidity.
We'll just have to agree to disagree about how different they are. In my opinion, they are extremely similar plays and both end up with the exact same result.

WV on a 7 game losing streak. They are closer to OSU than they are to TX as far as level of play goes. We will have a decent chance but they will be playing desperate.

It helps that their best player might not play. In concussion protocol.
WVU might be on a 7 game losing streak, but they're still a solid team. Just a victim of the Big 12 meat grinder.

The bubble is extremely weak. There is a lot of average in the country. I think they need 4 wins. But lots of average teams in the country. This year they will be challenged to find 68 worthy teams
