Replacing a mattress early is the killer expense. We laid down some good money for a mattress we were ready to burn in 3 years.

I shopped and tried out the Purple, but it was very bouncy. Not our style. The iSeries worked well for us. Still have it in our guest room. Still like that one.

Fingers crossed for the new mattress. I'm not a huge fan of buying mattresses because they turn out bad.

I have a Layla and really like it. Its basically 2 mattresses with one side as the soft and the other as more firm.

We did end up getting the Purple 2 bed that I mentioned back on the third page. It's a hybrid mattress, so knowing this I had fewer reservations compared to jumping into buying a full memory foam bed. Had it a couple years so far, and I have to say that the advertised points on it are true. It does sleep cooler, it is easier on my pressure points while still being supportive, and it is holding up great. My wife sleeps so much better with this bed compared to the Sleep Number we had. I can't believe we put up with that POS as long as we did.

It just so happened that we got sheets and Purple Pillows as part of the deal. You do not need to spend the money on their expensive accessories. The pillow is worthless to me, although my wife uses hers, and the bamboo sheets were thin and they faded badly in the wash over time. Regular fitted sheets work fine on this bed, but cheap ones are a tight fit. Spending money on good sheets is money well spent, IMO. Just try to get a better deal on the mattress and use your savings on primo coverings for it.

We did a Lebeda king a year ago and it is great. Way better than the Simmons Beauty Rest we had.
 
We bought this Slumber Solutions memory foam mattress about 6 years ago and it’s still the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. I guarantee it rivals the other much more expensive memory foam mattress and it’s a fraction of the price.

If you go with memory foam, definitely go with a king size and also the thicker the better with a gel foam top layer to make sure you don’t overheat at night. I have also bought a 10” thick memory foam mattress for my son from Amazon and it’s terrible. Trust me, the thicker the better.

We got our bed from Nest bedding. It’s the Alexander signature hybrid. We really like it. It’s a little on the soft side but my wife and I comment about it every time we stay in a different bed on how much we miss ours.
 
We got a Casper original with their memorial day sale. I don't hate it, but I'm really thinking of using the 100 day trial and sending it back to get something else. Really thinking about biting the bullet and getting the Temperpedic as I really wanted more of the memory foam feel. The Casper is very supportive, but it doesn't give you that hugging feeling like our previous memory foam mattress (Signature Sleep cheap mattress from Amazon).
 
A lot of people ignore the pillows. My wife just bought one of these and it seems pretty great

Anyone have any thoughts on the Saatva? Really close to pulling the trigger, but still nervous about buying a mattress online.
 
Also in the market for a new mattess. Have a nectar queen and it is good but. Only real complaint is the lack of edge support. Not sure if spending the extra $1k to get something like the Casper hybrid is worth it.
 
Just bought a new pillow top mattress from Lebeda the past month and enjoying better sleep so far. Think it just comes down to what you prefer for "feel" when you sleep. Some like more firmness while others don't. Just trying out what they had some of their hybrid mattresses were just too firm or soft for my liking but the pillow top seemed to hit the sweet spot for both.
