Oh I agree for sure it's a good job, it's just not on the USC/OU/LSU/ tier. If you read their boards and tweets they can't fathom why Campbell wouldn't automatically leave for them and they are offended by that.

I think Washington is maybe the most underrated job in the country but you're right, it's not tier 1. It's in that second tier with Michigan, Oklahoma, Florida, Auburn, etc.

I was never worried about Washington, other than money I don't see that they offer Campbell anything, and he's proven at this point he's not going to leave just for money.

I'm hoping he's also good at math because that's a pay cut in terms of cost of living. Now maybe after a certain point it doesn't matter, but Seattle comes our more than twice as high as Ames.

Are we sure that is the actual salary? Private schools don't have to report the whole package. We never know what Baylor pays.

I asked ND fans about this and apparently a lot of the salary comes from Under Armor making it closer to 8 million.
