*** Official IOWA STATE vs Texas Tech Game(Day) Thread ***

So hilarious on 3rd and 8 for TT and they give up and just run it up the middle…. and they get the 1st down. And then we completely lay down and give them an easy 3.

I don't gamble, but I do follow spreads. The thing that continues to baffle me this season is WHY has Iowa State been favored in EVERY game? 4-5 ATS heading into this game with 3 of the 5 flat out losses. I pity the fools who took Iowa State - 12. Tech + 12 was FREE money today! First guess. Not a reaction to the first half.

Yes I wouldn’t be surprised if it comes out later that there is **** going on with the team in the locker room. There isn’t much else that can explain this.
WV after OSU and before UT and TT after UT and before OU. Emotional let’s down, prepping for big games at expense of others….who knows.

If Purdy doesn't find a way to do this, where does that leave us? He said he was viewing this as his "Senior Season," but it's not like he's getting drafted in the first three or four rounds with the season he has had. Do people want him back as the QB next year? This is a really, really significant half of football for the program.

Look, after that OU loss today, we had to figure out a way for them to overlook us next week. This is a genius move by the coaching staff. Eek out a close win, then really bring the wood versus OU!

I guarantee if we had a 14 point lead and got the ball back with a minute left we would have run up the middle and ran out the clock. But that’s our coaching staffs mentality.

Our effort and how easy we are making this is extremely surprising. Especially on the defensive side of the ball.
Overall not just defense. We've thrown a truly horrible interception, got bailed out a little on a PI on a pass that didn't look catchable and at one time Hall had 8 carries for 10 yards.

Gulp... special teams might have been the best performing unit by default.
