Rigged Officiating

Did we deserve to lose, yes.

The question I want answered is, what was the conversation between the refs when brock was called in for the touchdown, the the far judge decided it was a fumble, and they just went with that. The booth obviously wasn't going to do **** like it has all season, to afraid to overturn anything, so why switch it up on the field.

The refs did not cost us this game. I know we got screwed, but our Swiss cheese D made those calls stand out. This is on the staff not preparing the team. This looked like a September game.
When Campbell's TEAM PLAYS LIKE ITS SEPTEMBER ....THE TEAM WILL EITHER LOSE OR SQUEAK OUT A WIN OVER AN INFERIOR TEAM!

THATS BEEN THE CAMPBELL ERA AND ITS NOT CHANGING WHILE CMC IS THE HEAD COACH!!

I assumed the officiating crew was overmatched by the level of play and intimidated by the crowd. They didn't intentionally alter the game but their bad performance did affect the outcome. Almost all of the close/questionable calls went to the home team. Were they not used to larger stadium/crowd and that intimidated them to shade the decisions that way?

Again, I don't think it was overt, they were just not good.

Why are you yelling old man

Did anybody think the camera views for the reviews were terrible? West Virginia touchdown was PROBABLY not a touchdown and Breece PROBABLY scored but the instant replays seemed like they were shot 10 years ago. Not clear and not positioned in a way where you were 100% sure. Do the replay booth officials get more views than we see on the broadcast? If they don't I can see their reluctance to overturn bad calls when they have such poor replays to look at.

This is fair.

there still needs to be an explanation for one guy (the one with the best view) saying Breece scored and then another guy saying no he didn’t. It does nothing for play clock clusterf*ck either.

There has been something going on behind the scenes for a long time now. Not sure whose wife JP slept with but the jaded reffing has cost us a couple games per season for over a decade now. I really think we need some kind of investigation into this. So tired of this.

Exactly. Generally incompetent? Sure. But rigged would imply there was some force at work that preferred WVU to win over us and I can’t imagine what that would be.

It just is what it is to me. They were obviously bad calls but I’m not convinced we win either way. On the touchdowns if they get overruled do I have faith we keep them out of the endzone? If Breece scores do I have faith they don’t go down and score and retake the lead? It just is what it is.

They have their owns shots also. Ones that aren’t telecast.

I do think they should have some uniformity for camera angles. You shouldn’t be at a competitive disadvantage because espn’s cheap ass puts zero effort into their production quality for games not on the main networks.

So do you honestly think that is what happened today or was it just pure incompetence?
See the other post. The reason people even come close to saying rigged or something like that is it is a consistent thing against Iowa State and I’ve never seen anything like that go for Iowa State.

I’d generally go with just complete and total incompetence especially in this game since there isn’t a clear reason of why they would affect the game against us. The problem with that though is no one can come up with a reason why it is consistently against us and we never benefit.

And they absolutely should have reviewed the mark on Purdys run. That was a pretty clear shot. Refs clearly marked the ball where his knee went down not where the ball was.

You haven’t watched the game yet, eh?
I've watched a lot of football in my life. Many different teams and conferences.

Without question, I cannot think of another team that comes close in the screwed by officials department.

Even across different sports.

It really limits how much you can invest emotionally as a fan.
