I think Iowa's going to still be working out some kinks on their D-line. They're going to have to stack the box to try to handle Breece and our O-line and Purdy will do what Purdy does. I'm always worried about this one, but I think it's going to look a lot like the Fiesta Bowl, minus Oregon has a lot more team speed on offence than Iowa. 34-17, good guys. Worse if Iowa State gets some bounces that have gone Iowa's way over the last half decade.
A healthy Indians will be a really tough out. Iowa’s defense will have to step up quickly.
No lol that’s a fine prediction. It’s the fact that you said the 7 point victory was contingent on us staying healthy (Iowa might be down two starters for the first few weeks).
Your second point was that Iowa is 1-2 years away when almost every single starter is a junior, RS junior or a senior of some sort. 1 single “projected” starter right now is younger than a true sophomore. So no, Iowa’s not a young team.
You basically were finding excuses for why Iowa won’t win, and then explained why they will win in future years and why they’ll be good then.
I think we'll get out to a decent lead and maintain a 14ish point lead most the game. Iowa tries to rally late and gets a TD and 2 point conversion, but ISU wins 24-17.
