JTS Improvements - Want More

Here’s a pic of the video ribbon over the entrance. It was on yesterday, but I was driving and couldn’t get a pic. It looked fantastic!

I under-appreciated the visual impact this will have as you walk up to the stadium. It looked really cool during the day, but with all the accent lighting being installed (post lights, etc.) entering the stadium for a night game is going to be epic!

You know we’re all going to be expecting a detailed analysis and chemical breakdown of the borders of the plaza, right? Got your reagents and spectrometer ready?
Love it!

I literally took this picture while I was there, thinking about exactly how they’re going to finish off those borders!

Looks like Tommorrowland

Okay electricians - what type of sign will be on this base? (Please, Please, Please Jack Trice Stripes!)

There is a red "CYCLONES" sign inside the door closest to the road. It has light bulbs on its front that match the spelling of the word. Its size just about matches this space.

They used that for recruiting photos near the end of this summer's visits. And my guess is that's all it's for.

The red CYCLONES sign was also used at women's gymnastics events.

It’s a real mystery that’s keeping me up at night. I’m sure whatever materials they wind up using, it will look nice and deter drunk hoks from walking on the grass.

Nothing deters even sober hawks from something like that. Maybe if there was an invisible electric fence? But they’d be the dumb dog who gets stuck in the middle not knowing what’s happening.

One perspective I thought I’d share is about the overall appearance of the stadium in person. The Performance Center is massive.

The webcam view has always left me feeling like the PC looks like a box on top of a smaller box. That view and the renderings have also made me worry that the PC on one side would make it look like there should be a sister version on the other aide to balance it out.

Now having seen it in person, I definitely don’t feel that way any more. It looks incredible. The whole setup looks like a huge sports complex, not just a stadium.

The PC also looks great from University, which surprised me as well. I’m truly blown away at how different it looks and feels in person. I’ll say it again, the Performance Center is massive.

Here’s a pic from C6. It’s awesome!

Can't wait to see what this looks like on gameday. It will be interesting to see how the flow of foot traffic will be entering and exiting the stadium.

The reality is people are always going to cut the corners short or take a step off the sidewalk to pass a slower moving pedestrian. Adding a non grass border saves the shoddy look of the inevitable dead spots.
