He’s actually normally one of the few good ones. He’s just reached a breaking pointMike Hlas being butthurt is typical. Protecting the racist and criminal program that puts food on his plate.
"CR Gazz columnist has out-Hlasted his stay,....is forced out."There's a joke with his last name, but it hasn't come to me yet. Nonsense like this is making me want to see ISU just dump truck teams this year.
That’s stupid…. and usually I don’t mind Hlas…. but that’s a really dumb take.
Can he really not see the difference in the “culture” at ISU vs Iowa? He should ask Deyo and his Mom about the difference. Or maybe Keller?
Not even to mention that Iowa has been running a racist “culture “ in IC for a while now…. ISU hasn’t…. big difference Mike Hlas!
I'm sure he doesn't. You have to use his preferred words or you are ****.I wonder if Hlas approves?
Greg Gaines: "Coach Campbell has built a five-star culture there. And really, that's the people there.
"Football is football and schooling is schooling, but when times get hard, there's always good people that you can talk to and people that want to help you. Everyone there is working hard and wants to get better. That's the five-star culture."
I don't know why I find this so funny but Sears Hawkeye football shrine making it into this clip is great
OK here is what I've gathered over the last year on Iowa's main beat writers:
Chad - Lol where to begin with this guy. He worships Kirk and really likes Fran. Long time Iowa season ticket holder before he got in the industry. He has also spent some holidays with the Bohannon family and Jordan and him consider each other close friends
Eickholt - The worst offender by far. He has no credibility among coaches or the players. He'll try to write great things about the players so they'll allow him to go party with them
***The biggest thing with him is he pocketed his 247 per diem and shared a room with Frank Garza in Indianapolis for the NCAA Tournament***
Kakert - More of an Iowa basketball fan than football. He was legitimately distraught about the Bohannon news
Harty - Nobody takes him serious obviously
Doc - Zero credibility nationally because of his bias towards Iowa. He gets mocked a lot in the industry
Sanderson/Bock/Eickholt - All at the mercy of Iowa's football coaches, specifically Tyler Barnes. Barnes tells them what kind of content and how much content to put out on recruits or he'll make sure the recruits don't do interviews. They all willingly do it as they feel they are supporting the program they love by doing it
All of them are terrified of getting their credentials pulled and write and report with that in mind. There isn't a single person on the Iowa beat that isn't a huge Hawkeye fan actually.
Anyone or anything else I'm missing you guys have heard stuff on?
When Bock calls you out you know it's bad
I have a soft spot for Bock. He's a fan struggling with an inner "keep it professional" monologue. Oh, and he's correct about mock drafts...don't get me started...they are click bait.Good for Bock.
Oh yeah, Morrisson and Jimmer could actually handle the ball a bit and create for themselves and others. I don't have Luka's stat sheet pulled out, but I'd be surprised if he averaged much more than 2 assists per game for his career, and I know he only ever put the ball on the deck if he was dropping a shoulder or chicken wing-hook into an opposing big. I was really baffled that the Pistons took him, and kind of upset because they've always been one of my favorite teams and I feel like instead of getting better last night, they simply wasted a pick on him. I guess you can kind of do that with 2nd round picks though. You know who else could shoot and tore it up in college? Adam Morrison?Jimmer Fredette? Vastly more versatile than Garza on offense to the point they were high draft picks. What positive traits does Garza have that sets him apart from them? He's taller? I doubt that translates to any real value at all considering there's hundreds of hours of awkward tape bumbling around and chained to the ground. Maybe he can get his "jumpshot" off a little easier because he's taller but he's also way less crafty from a distance than either of those guys.

I especially like the top comment from Johnnyqueefblower (lol) saying “he got that Tom Brady 40 speed”.
