I'm more concerned of the report about Texas being a "free agent" in 2 years, including being an independent. That is significantly more scary than them going to the SEC, which it already seems like they won't have the votes for.

But bailing on the contract with the ACC means giving up their independence in football. Something that ND has repeated said they will not do. No way the Big 10 is going to give ND the same deal they got from the ACC.This depends on the contract, but something tells me this only applies if ND wants to stay as a member for the other sports. If they bailed on ACC membership entirely and took all their sports elsewhere (like to the big 10) they'd probably be fine.
I have thought all along this is the best path for UT if they leave the conference or want to go to the Big 10.I'm more concerned of the report about Texas being a "free agent" in 2 years, including being an independent. Would Vandy be a no? They already struggle to compete. Adding TX and OU would be even worse? Or is it strictly just "There might be a couple million more annually for us, so sure."???
I could see Vandy taking a step back and going D3. At some point, some of these more higher accademic outfits are going to say enough is enough with sports.
were gonna get all the land grant universities together and start a nationwide league, period, if you arent a land grand university you are out, if you are and dont want to join, you will be penalized every year until you inevitably will. this nationwide league will take over the landscape after 20 years, we will systematically execute the plan. thats how you do it. were going to put all these non land grant universities in their rightful place, and by the time you realize the trap u are in, you will come crawling back to have the land grant vs non land grant playoff every year, and we will hold all the cards.
Why the hell would they do that? They have one of the best baseball programs in the country. Football is the only thing they have struggled to compete in. Not to mention they are the SEC's historic academic school. They haven't been much worse than Tennessee lately.I could see Vandy taking a step back and going D3. So are we thinking the remaining 8 schools are done working together if the two big egos move on? Or is there an effort to bridge a WV gap and get back to 10 or 12 schools? None of us are great fits for the PAC, there’s only 2 (maybe) that fit B1G, and ACC would really only work for WV. Obviously that new league would be diminished but we all kind of work together as the “forgotten schools.”
If I was Baylor or TCU right now I’d be very very worried.
Missouri and AM probably can not block this. Bet they are making noise to get some division concessions.

As an Iowa State fan I'm really ******* worried right now
