Iowa Football Recruiting

Two years ago we took two 4-star RB’s in the same class. I don’t think it’s crazy to think ISU won’t get better at recruiting as they continue their success. Actually, thinking they won’t get better at recruiting is either wishful thinking, trolling, or just plain stupidity.
I think it’s a combination of all 3.

SO far so good right? what happens when Purdy leaves and Hall? And you have to replace a line that has started together for 2 years?

What happened when David Montgomery left? You seem to not realize that our best lineman played a little more than one quarter last year or how many injuries we had. The same thing will happen as did when they got injured that will happen when they graduate....next man in. We've got several good underclassmen who've played. We'll be fine.

Purdy is good, but so are those behind him. And with finally having the O-Line as a position group where it needs to be, the next QB will not have to be as good as Purdy, but that doesn't mean that they won't be.

To summarize....compared to years 1-4, the bottom half of the roster is better than it's ever been. A Player led culture that produces winning football.. You won't find anyone in Ames walking on eggshells or fearful of getting blackballed by tone deaf coaches. Five star culture.

Pretty good or special? You said you had to be a special player for Alabama to want you. Alabama never offered Llewellyn but they did offer Purdy and had him on an OV
Llewellyn wasn’t offered by Bama because he was already solid to Iowa. If he wasn’t solid to Iowa, and would have accepted a Bama offer, then Bama would have offered.
