Iowa fans are more upset at the notion of saying "Regular Season Champion" than they are at the fact that not one member of the coaching staff has been fined a dollar or suspended a minute for racism.

They're more upset at Iowa State winning the Fiesta Bowl than they are at the University of Iowa not firing a single coach on the football staff.

Try it out? We do it for football and basketball. The only difference is in football the winner of the postseason game gets the nod in the NY6 bowl to represent the conference. Similar to Ohio State representing the Big Ten in 2002 and Michigan representing the Big Ten in 2004

Not new at all. Other conferences that don't do round robin have regular season divisional champs while the Big 12 has just one Regular Season Conference Champion
