That lineup is not good defensively nor is it athletic.
Uhm, Hawkeye fans idea of athletic is different than most. To them when they say they have an athletic team, it tends to correlate to how many black players are on the court.
Fran will pick up a couple from the transfer portal and/or late high schoolers...but they will certainly not be to the level of Connor and Patrick...this is all about the McCaffrey team, not Iowa.
How embarrassing if we lose to that lineup in Hilton this Dec. TJ needs to start treating this game like it's a Superbowl.
That...and it is going to be a dreadful 3pt shooting lineup.. Like prob worse than we were in 2019 and we were awful in 2019...
If they land Rebracca(Transfer from North Dakota) it will help..At least he has size and can shoot the 3.
Iowa’s gonna suck next year. The question is will we? I don’t know. There are guys I’m excited about on this team and I’m very excited to see TJ at the realm. I also think our roster is night and day better. That may not equate to wins right away though, which is fine. However, IF Iowa is as bad as they look like they’re going to be, it’d be nice to take care of business in Hilton against a bad team, regardless of whether they have “Iowa” written across their chests.

Oh they’re going to be terrible from behind the line. They also don’t have a single guy that can create their own shot. Offense is going to be very different than what they’ve had the last few years. And Rebracca doesn’t move the needle for them but I’m going to assume Iowa takes him.
All he has to do is offer up a full ride scholly to play in the BIG...many would be willing to put up with the $hitshow to have that kind of opportunity.
You’re making this strange assumption Fran would do that, though. I think in his history he’s pretty consistently proven that he’d rather use a scholarship on an unranked high schooler than a transfer.
I don't understand why the Iowa media and fans are so high on Aaron Uhlis. He barely played last year but they think he is going to be a star.
I prefer CyTwins use of 'Fat Kid' for number 5 lol. But then I am old enough to remember the days when Victor Alexander played for the Clones, he wasn't exactly skinny but had a great touch and could score and played for a while in the NBA if i recall correctly, but 'Fat Kid' makes me laugh, my apologies to any fat kids out there.
Porkins isn’t skinny either. Adding in hawk fans say Frank worked with the other fat kid, black Garza helps to define him better
