The Fran fade

Best case, absolute best case, Iowa is going to put a team on the floor next year with no more talent than we had the last 2 years. They play in the B1G so I doubt they go winless but they will endure the same misery we did the last 2 years.

One big difference, they are probably stuck with Fran and this level of basketball for 3-4 years.

They probably win 8-10 games last season with the same talent we had. Big Ten was drastically overrated.

I think a big part of it is the whole “tampering” aspect of it. Which is dumb because tampering in college basketball in 2021 is like jaywalking

There wasn't any tampering though.

CJ wanted to leave Iowa.... and shockingly he took a look at going back home to Kentucky.... one of the blue bloods of college basketball. Wow. How surprising. Cal MUST have tampered though because why would a kid ever want to go back home and play for a huge college basketball giant in his home state, right?

CJ has had lots of injuries too. And both guys are going back home too for the most part.

So the only difference is that Nunge lost his father and CJ didn't. It's not okay for CJ to just want to go back home???
I agree. I have no idea why Hawk fans are so mad about CJ.

Nope. Because CJ decided he didn’t want to be at Iowa a while ago. I can guarantee you some of those fans have thought about leaving their jobs months before they actually left.

The reality is that they can’t comprehend that maybe, just maybe, CJ didn’t like it at “their school”.
Or their coach and his kids.

Chad just said on kxno that Joe W is most certainly gone and that Connor may become the focal point of the offense after being a pass first guy the last few years.
Wonders if Fran will even look at the portal and may get 1 or 2 guys at most.
Chris then brings up Fran's extension.
Back to Chad saying Ulis is primed for big things and how he played well vs Oregon over Jorbo and Joe T.
Fran thought he was going to get Liam Robbins.
"Who wouldn't want to come and play here?"

(Onto football talk)

I seriously just about drove off the road when he said 'who wouldn't want to come play here'

IDK ask CJ Fredrick

I almost drove off the road as well! I mean, who wouldn't want to go play for a raving lunatic who gives blatantly obvious preferential treatment to his 2 sons who are equally as crazy and are ticking time bombs on social media?

Say that out loud.

I meant it not in the way you are taking it.

Is it only okay to want to go back home to play basketball in front of your loved ones if one of your family members passes away...... or is it also okay to want to go home just because you want to go back home??

Is closer to home like going to LSU from ISU when you are from Utah? Otherwise either of your situations is fine.

Just clearing the dead weight for the super athletic guys that never played.

Frans biggest issue is playing too many players, so Fran had a stroke of genius and realized that if he just drove off 4-5 players or more, that he would be down to 8-9 players and he would have a good rotation.
