Old Mediocre Has-Been Desperate To Appear Relevant; aka JBo To Return

To be fair, he’s the guy who has kind of brought it to the forefront. I understand wanting to finish what you start, but coming back just so you can profit isn’t the way to go.

Right.

He has brought it to the forefront in 1, maybe 2 counties in Iowa.

Seriously, if he graduated and didn't come back, his message would carry a lot more weight and people wouldn't be reminded constantly that this is a mediocre basketball player making the case.

Kid sure likes to complain when things do not go his way. I guess he sees he has no future in basketball either here or overseas, so he figures if this passes, he can make a little dough off his name before he goes out into the real world.
6 years around Mad Fran would be a lifetime for many people, but hey, if he can pull it off, go for it.
All time record for most made and attempted 3 pointers, with an * beside it. *achieved in 6 seasons.

Is he only a year away from a PhD at this point? He was the oldest player in D1 if I remember correctly for this last season...

He must really not want to go work at Enterprise at the Cedar Rapids Airport

He will get his PhD long before getting rich from NIL!

Some good hok message board banter

Die hards think he's a 3 point sniper and a key to get them back into the NCAA tourney... People who cheer for Iowa without the black and gold blinders on seem to want him to move on

I would bet my life savings that he only comes back if Weiskamp also joins him. 0.0% chance he returns to a team with Nunge, Murray, Touisant and the McCaffrey bros. That team would barely be .500 overall

Strong candidate to be hanging out outside Falbo’s pizza in his letter jacket 20 years from now desperately hoping someone - anyone- will ask him about the historic 2021 tournament run and how he owned one of the all-time worst ISU teams with his shoes

FIFY. He talked all that ****, wasn't even a factor in it, to a team that was 3-4 weeks from losing to Florida ATM in the same building.

I disagree. I think he comes back no matter what now. He craves attention and he's never going to get it in whatever podunk foreign league he ends up playing in. Plus now he's got a cause to fight for.

LOL....and if they pass NIL, next year name dropping how he gets extra toppings on his burger at the Fieldhouse on the pedmall for his "exclusive' deal he cut with them to be their "spokesperson" and the "bennys" that go with it.

I get what these athletes are saying, that if a full ride band student wants to give lessons they can make money that way. BUT, these athletes are saying they are doing this for all NCAA athletes. How many other college athletes will be able to use their likeness? This is about the high-profile guys wanting to make some of the Millions that the NCAA makes off of them. But at the end of the day this will be the way boosters will help steer the blue chip guys to their school. Joe Booster will guarantee that you will make $20k each camp that you "host".

IMHO if a guy or gal doesn't want to be a property of NCAA, then don't take a scholarship from somebody that would cherish that benefit. Go on and play professionally and make coin if that's what it's all about. These athletes are given so many benefits, and their name usually lands them a nice career, especially if they have the mind that backs it up. Plus it is a way that they get the best coaching and health care to possibly make it to the big money.

Either way I don't care, but I'm so tired of this whining from doucheface.

Didn’t we hear that Nunge will have like 7 years of eligibility if he chose to stay for all of it in the future? Some of these guys are going to be doing post-doc work

Mad Fran loves, old and un-athletic players in his program.. His 21 year old middle son was a freshman this past season. His oldest was a 23 year old junior.. I was 22 when I graduated from ISU.. And I did 9 semesters..

This is SO pathetic..... but SO hilarious at the same time. But not unexpected at all. JorBo is such a dork.

What's he going to do next year, charge little kids $5 to sign their shirt or basketball after each game? You know tons of Iowa fans will give their kids the $5.... but it's just so sad.

It sounds as if most Hawk fans at this point just want him to go away. Sure he's put up some decent numbers in his time at Iowa.... but most intelligent Iowa fans understand that he's a complete liability on the defensive end, and he also cannot dribble.
