The first priority recruit of T.J. Otzelberger’s tenure at Iowa State is a familiar one.

Otzelberger reaffirmed Iowa State’s scholarship offer to Ames High School star Tamin Lipsey during a Zoom call on Saturday, making the 6-foot-2, three-star prospect the first prospect to receive an offer from the Cyclones’ new head coach.

It will be really interesting to see if Lipsey can return to his pre injury for where he was projected as a four or five star recruit
I think he is back to form. I think there was probably some projection when he was a Fr. That he might grow, but doesn’t look like he he has much or will. Still a very good prospect and PG. I think he will take a good jump next year with a full offseason.

I know Fred is Fred..

but why on earth would anyone commit to that sinkhole. Ames is a better town than Lincoln, we would have as good or better b-ball facilities than them, nobody has less basketball history/prestige nationwide than them, and Fred is one bad heart doctor eval from hanging it up in coaching.

At least with TJ there is the possibility of an upward trajectory. Fred's system so far sucks in Lincoln.
