***Official 2021 Selection Sunday Thread***

there are quite a few potential big upsets that i need to figure out. all of these i can see the lower seed winning.

5 Colorado
12 Georgetown

5 Tennessee
12 Oregon State

4 Oklahoma State
13 Liberty

5 Villanova
12 Winthrop

3 Arkansas
14 Colgate

5 Creighton
12 UCSB

Yes I have all 5/12 listed. For sure I'm picking Winthrop. My gut says Liberty is gonna be a shocker.

Winthrop possibly with Nova's PG out with injury. Liberty has made some noise, but can't see them upsetting Okie St.

The Illinois / Loyola second round could be fun. No one in the Big10 plays defense like Loyola.

I think LSU is gonna give Gonzaga all they can handle. If you wanna go for broke in pools and pick against what everyone else is doing with the Zags in the Final Four, that's where I'd look.

Watching ESPN right now. I'm not sure Vitale watched any games this year. Going off on how great MSU is and how the ACC got disrespected. That network just doesn't know how to move on past their aging talent.

LSU would play Michigan not Gonzaga

Dickie V has always loved MSU and the ACC. I think he’s watched plenty of games, he’s just in love with the ACC.

This seems odd and also a logistical headache:

That does seem odd. I understand the desire to move teams after round 2, but I'd think you'd still keep the 4 team pods together at one site to play back to back. Don't get the need to move after round 1.

The TOE whining has already begun. "We got the toughest 7th seed of any bracket."
because they are the lowest 2 seed. It is not difficult to understand. I figured they were right in the 7-10 (overall seed) range which puts them at lowest 2 or highest 3 seed.

One interesting comment from the selection committee chairman is that they're working out tip times when talking virginia and kansas. So I wonder if they're going to purposely put them on Saturday.
