ISR March to Madness thread

You think they review that play if they don't call a foul on Murray? I don't. That foul on Murray helped Iowa IMO and I'm being honest there

If they don't call a foul on Keegan that it is a turnover by Wisconsin as we got that loose ball. Since they missed the call we had the FT to shoot and then had to inbound the ball. That is when Iowa got screwed on the jump ball call.

So yeah that bad foul called on Keegan screwed Iowa multiple ways.

You would have had to inbound the ball either way

Keegan Murray is so freaking good. He’s going to be even better after he puts on 15 lb’s of muscle in the off-season.

How so? If no foul was called on Keegan, Wisconsin turns the ball over and Iowa has it. No review would have come, because there wouldn't have been a stoppage in play for Fran to argue for them to review. Davison would have gotten away with his hook and hold, but play would have continued and then Iowa doesn't get screwed on the jump ball call. The Keegan bad call hurt Iowa in multiple ways.

You're right Wisconsin had so many fouls on them already (almost double Iowa's) that if they don't call that Wisconsin fouls and Iowa goes to the line instead of having to inbound the ball

Iowa got gifted TWICE on the jump ball call and you are calling it a screw job. Lol hi Bo!

I thought the Trice foul on the JorBo three was a bad call. JorBo sold it and that is why it got called.

I thought the rest of the calls were correct, but I would have been fine with a no call on the hook and hold/Keegan foul too.

He will be if he can learn to create for himself. Right now, he's the garbage man. You can make a career of doing that though. He reminds me a little bit of Melvin Ejim. We'll see if he can develop the same way he did.

Have to wonder where Drake stands with the committee. In a normal year I'd be worried about their chances, but methinks Pollard will have their back and get them into the play-in round at worst.

Is Pollard the head of the committee or just a part of it?

The bigger issue for Iowa moving forward is Weezy's ankle and how fast he can get back to 100% if that is even possible this year. I'm thinking he will sit for the BTT and hopefully be back for March Madness.

I'm not sure, just know that he's on it. He'll put in a good word for them I think. They actually showed out better than I thought they would in St Louis despite 2 starters being out.

It looked like Keegan was going to get the rebound on Jbos three. So we would have had the ball with 30 seconds left in a tie game. Its not as if Wisconsin was definitely going to win the game without that call.

I think that would be wise. If Iowa ran the table at the Big 10 tourney (chuckles) they would move up to the coveted 1-line though. Would you risk a re-aggravation for a shot at that? It's a tough call IMO. A one seed is almost a free pass to the Sweet 16, somewhere Iowa hasn't tread in over 20 years.

Can this Weezy thing stop?
