Random Thoughts 15: Crystal Clear 2021 Edition

Worker missed my vein this time. Asked me how it was, had to tell her that it isn’t quite right because it really burns. She looked and said yep, I went beside the vein not in it. My Veins don’t pop out like they used to.

I know what a bad stick is like because this same draw lady missed the vein halfway about 9 years ago and I timed out. I never take 10 minutes from initial stick to full so it was definitely bad and it burned like a SOB the whole time

I know you guys are talking about blood/plasma donations, but as far as sticks are concerned...
I'll give them a second chance. I won't give a third. And I'll stop them in their tracks if they try to put an IV in the back of my hand.
 
Uncle Randy is finally to the point where he's done with Coach Prohm. In terms of someone to shepherd the program, and mentor the athletes, we couldn't have a better man. But the results simply aren't acceptable. I'll be sorry to see him leave, I wish it could have turned out better for him.

My first time donating was in high school and the lady botched my first arm, asked if I wanted to try the other, stuck it in part of the way and then went to get someone else to do it. Like, maybe you should have gotten the other person before you stuck it in when you already knew they were tricky?! I also passed out in the middle of the cafeteria after that. Luckily none of it deterred me from continuing to donate!

Everyone always said I had a TV voice that magically started as soon as the light went red. I could never tell I was doing anything different. The videos still live on YouTube.

I'm taking the vixen down to DM area this weekend for her birthday, she wants to go to the Waterfront seafood restaurant in Ankeny. Thought we'd visit the Botanical Center Saturday.....anybody got any ideas for other interesting places to go?
