Fran absolutely wasn't going to put them in until the reserves let MSU cut the lead from 9 to 2 with a minute left. You could tell the reserves were not used to the end of game stress. Fran put Jordan and Weiskamp back in to salt it away and that is what they did.
It was actually some good coaching by Fran. I have seen him ride guys that are having terrible games many times. This time Fran was like F this man, the reserves are playing better, they are staying it. Conner has his ass sat as well for taking dumb shots, he isn't on the floor to shoot.
Not saying it won't happen because ive seen it and i can see the last 1/2 of the schedule particularly late February to end of season but i do think this is best bench Fran has had in his tenure. We're not playing 2-3 guys that don't provide much like years past. What i really like about the bench is they're mostly much better athletes albeit less skilled than the starters.
Doesn't Patrick play the most minutes off the bench? He sucks
Agreed. What pissed me off though was the layup they gave up right after he sat them for exactly that.
Keegan, Patrick, Nunge and Joe all get about the same minutes roughly. All have played between 224-269 minutes this year.
It varies game to game Patrick does not suck you just hate all things McCaffrey. I'd say nunge and Keegan play most minutes off bench currently and i think touisants will increase as will perkins. Everyone of those guys is a superior athlete for the man they sub in for
Patrick definitely sucks. He's shooting 38% from the floor and is putting up a shot every 3 mins he's out there. That's really bad
Hopefully not but possibly. I'd like touisant to get 20 to 25 every night. Perkins may depend on other guys
Why do you only talk about a players FG%, is is so weird like this is 1974 or something. There are much better metrics to look at, get out of the 70's and get with the times.
